A medium-bodied , authentic Chianti Classico produced almost entirely from Sangiovese grapes, notable for its elegant aromas and pleasant drinkability. Aged for some 12 months in Slavonian large oak casks, it has a brillant ruby red coulour, scent of cherry and sweet violets and a fresh, crisp acidity. At its best when paired with flavoured ‘pasta’ dishes, poultry and grilled lamb.

Winter was quite mild and rainy; elevated temperatures at the beginning of April have caused an early flowering of at least 10 days; after a regular May, the summer months were very hot, with temperatures high above seasonal average, with periodic rains that helped to maintain a good vegetative balance avoiding water distress. The ripening of the grapes was very good as well as the average quality of the wines produced.

L’inverno è stato abbastanza mite e asciutto. A fine marzo le viti hanno germogliato con un anticipo di almeno 20 giorni. Ad Aprile inoltrato due notti gelide hanno rallentato lo sviluppo senza fortunatamente recare danno ai germogli. La siccità estiva ha ridotto notevolmente le rese mentre la qualità è risultata buona grazie anche alcune tecniche colturali volte a tenere ombreggiati i grappoli.
